A village in the Northern Region of the Philippines receives old Rayside jerseys., Galleries (Rayside Balfour Minor Hockey Association)

Kaden Deveau (pictured in the pink sweater), who played on U15 Tigercats this year, and his parents Vern and Josee, who have family in the Philippines, facilitated the process of shipping all of our old Rayside jerseys to Gonzaga Cagayan Valley, Barangay Flourishing, Philippines. The cargo was shipped by boat and took 3 to 4 months to arrive. 🚢 The first Rayside jerseys went to the Gonzaga National High School. The kids were very thankful and excited to receive them. Another shipment went to the local Police Services and all additional jerseys were distributed throughout the community to residents and local government officials. Vern thanked RBMHA 2nd Vice President Joel Glaude, who helped make this happen saying: “We very sincerely thank you and the Rayside Association [on behalf of these] Children, Teenagers, Students, Parents, School Teachers, local Government Officials and Police Services for giving them a little something from Canada. They value things like this on a very big scale and are so thankful for the gesture. A big👍 to you all.”
