NHL/NHLPA FIRST SHIFT HOCKEY PROGRAM
RBMHA is excited to announce that we have been selected to host the NHL/NHLPA First Shift in 2025-26.
For the twelfth consecutive year, Bauer, Hockey Canada, the NHL, and the NHLPA are proud to bring this wonderful program to communities and families across the country by combining the strength, knowledge, and expertise of all partners.
The NHL/NHLPA First Shift is designed to ensure a positive experience for new-to-hockey families by making entry into hockey - Affordable, Manageable (time commitment), Safe AND Fun!
$299 Fee – includes six weeks of Hockey Canada on-ice instruction
and head to toe BAUER equipment.
REGISTRATION OPENS JUNE 2nd at 12PM 
For the upcoming season, NHL / NHLPA First Shift registration will be hosted on the Hockey Canada Registry (HCR). To register, you must have an HCR account — we recommend creating one in advance. If you already have an HCR account, no further action is required.
A) Participants may only be registered for one program. Please ensure you select the correct program during registration.
B) Children who have previously participated in the First Shift program or have been registered with a Local Hockey Association are not eligible.
C) No transfers will be permitted between June 2 and June 8.
