BENCH STAFF RESPONSIBILITIES 


All bench staff must have the required certifications for their position as listed in the NOHA Bench Staff Certification Requirements (2024/2025).  
The OHF Code of Conduct and Rules of Operation are to be strictly adhered to by all team officials.
All bench staff are expected to actively assist RBMHA and provide necessary cooperation.
All bench staff are to ensure proper conduct of players and fellow bench staff on and off the ice.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES OF TRAINER(S)

Maintain a fully stocked First Aid Kit and bring it to all team activities.
Keep up-to-date medical information records and emergency contact information.
Inform Coach of condition of players.
Implement an effective Emergency Action Plan (EAP) with your team and practice it regularly to ensure all involved understand their roles and are prepared to act promptly when an incident occurs.
Trainers must fill in “Hockey Canada Injury Report” and forward as per instructions on report.
When a player requires medical attention, a doctor’s release is required before the player can return to practice or play.
Inspect dressing rooms at the conclusion of their played game of practice to ensure everything has been picked up and cleaned.
